Renovating a garden in Valdelaume

In spring 2026, we carried out a full replanting project in Valdelaume. The soil was first improved with high-quality compost to boost structure and fertility, followed by the installation of a carefully selected mix of flowering perennials to deliver reliable seasonal interest and long-term performance.

Building a garden wall

In this project, we restored an old garden wall and installed a reclaimed gate. After pouring a concrete foundation, we built two pillars from natural stone blocks, integrating lighting directly into the structure. The 12-metre wall was constructed from grey concrete blocks and will be clad by the client with small-format natural stone. A rewarding project that adds privacy and character to the garden.

Chateau Comble

In autumn 2025, we began an ambitious restoration of the English garden at Château Comble in La Mothe-Saint-Héray.

After years of neglect, this part of the estate was in severe decline—overgrown, exhausted, and filled with dead and failing plants. For weeks, the work was all about the essentials: clearing, pruning, and removing what could no longer be saved.

By March 2026, the transformation could finally begin. A truckload of plants arrived from the Netherlands, and over the following three weeks we brought the garden back to life—planting more than 10,000 perennials and shrubs, plus a selection of trees up to 7 metres tall. Today, we continue to maintain the garden to ensure it establishes beautifully and performs season after season.

And this is only the start. Later this year, the estate will take its next steps forward with a natural swimming pool, a BMX track, and a state-of-the-art irrigation system for the English garden and the lawns surrounding the château.
